'Healthy claws in stable', a Flemish government demonstration project on the theme of sustainable agriculture and horticulture. The project started on 1 July 2015 and ended on 30 June 2017.
The overall objective of this project was to raise awareness of claw problems in cattle on dairy farms to pursue better animal welfare, animal health and profitability of the dairy farm.
Project partners were KVLT (Geel), KU Leuven|Thomas More (Geel), Hooibeekhoeve (Geel), Diergezondheidszorg Vlaanderen (DGZ) and Proef- en Vormingsinstituut Limburg (PVL in Bocholt). This demonstration project was co-financed by the European Union and the Flemish government's Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
