With the implementation of the new CAP and IPM guidelines, farmers are obliged to practice crop rotation on their plots. Crop rotation is an important measure to make a farm climate-resilient: by improving soil health, one gets more stable yields and the farmer is doing risk spreading. But how do you start this on a dairy farm? Which crops fit into a good rotation and provide enough feed in the silage?
During this networking event, you will share your experiences and reflections and we will give you useful tips and tricks to work out a rotation for your company.
Programme
The networking event will take place from 1 pm to 4 pm, addressing the following topics:
- Which crops do you have experience with?
- What (other) crops are you interested in?
- What field properties do you take into account when drawing up your rotation scheme?
- What does the law require you to comply with?
- What hurdles do you encounter when formatting your rotation schedule?
We expect active input from every participant!
